LA CROIX
A Rural Gîte in the heart of the Norman countryside
Our holiday cottage is a converted stone barn standing in its own peaceful garden with views across fields of grazing sheep and apple trees. It is situated in the small hamlet of Saonnet, 14 km south of Omaha Beach and 15 km west of Bayeux. With sandy beaches and forests not far away, and within easy reach of the D-Day landing beaches, and of Normandy’s historic towns and scenic countryside, it is a wonderful base for a family holiday.

DESCRIPTION
The cottage has its own entrance with parking for three cars. There is a small grassy area in front of the house, and a terrace shaded by a plum tree (pick your own fruit if you come at the right time of year) with a barbecue, outdoor table and chairs.
The front door opens into a large tiled living room, with comfortable sofa and chairs, dining area, and separate corner kitchen. Beyond is a small utility area leading to the shower room and separate wc. At the other end of the ground floor wooden stairs lead up to a pleasant landing space, provided with books and board games; there is a baby gate at the top of the stairs. The bedrooms have attractive stone walls and wooden beams. The cottage has been imaginatively decorated and furnished to a high standard throughout. There are electric heaters in every room.
Beds are made up for your arrival and towels are supplied.
Milk, bread, tea and coffee are provided on day of arrival.
Cot, high chair and baby bath are available.
The garden and parking area are entirely secure for small children.
We welcome dogs, but please warn us beforehand - and beware: there are sheep grazing just on the other side of the fence!
